Mission
Statement: Kayak
Instruction, Inc. provides quality kayak instruction to as many
segments of the population as possible, emphasizing safety, enjoyment and skill
acquisition. |
|
The Company:
Dave Holl began planning what has
become this school, during the summer of 2000 while he was kayaking The Grand
Canyon with fourteen other river enthusiasts. The idea was to bring the highest
level of kayak instruction available in the country to Texas. |
|
The
Fleet:
The company has an extensive fleet of kayaks from
Jackson Kayak. With such variety, students who participate in the
classes provided by Kayak Instruction, Inc. have
exposure to many different styles of kayaks. This provides an opportunity for
the student to experience many types of crafts, help them determine the niche
of the sport that most interests them, and subsequently facilitate the purchase
of the boat that best fits their needs. |
|
Instruction:
Excellent instruction
is the key and main ingredient of the company. The sport of kayaking is
becoming more available to the public and as a result more people are
participating in the sport. This has created a need for skilled and
knowledgeable instructors to preserve the integrity of the sport and to provide
novice paddlers with valuable and safe education. Hence, Kayak
Instruction Inc. focuses on up to date, technically accurate, and
safe instructional skills. This encourages newcomers to the sport to rapidly
acquire and develop their technical skills and knowledge.
